Mario Séguin, agr.
Dairy Production Expert – Milk Recording and Data Management
Mario is committed to improving Quebec’s dairy herds. A graduate in Animal Science from McGill University and a member of L’Ordre des agronomes du Québec, he spent most of his career in genetic improvement at the Ciaq as a dairy bull selector. Among other things, he initiated the use of genomics as a tool for genetic improvement and many of the sires he had selected were among the best according to LPI in 4 different breeds.
A member of our I&D team since 2016, he contributes to the development and enhancement of the management tools offered by Lactanet in a challenging environment for dairy producers, particularly those who are choosing to install automated milking systems such as milking robots.
