Dairy Production Expert in Comfort and Welfare
At Lactanet since 1991, Steve held several positions, including Dairy Producer Advisor, Development Officer and Strategic Advisor in the north and west parts of the province. Actively involved in the training of dairy advisors and producers in Quebec, he has developed expertise in the field of comfort and well-being of dairy herds. As a member of the Ordre des agronomes du Québec since 2008, his duties, communication skills and passion for the dairy production, led him to produce several articles and conferences on the subject throughout Quebec and Canada.
Active member and selected expert on several committees, Steve was involved in the development of the new Canadian Code of Practice for the Care and Handling of Dairy Catte and is a member of the technical committee of proAction from its beginning. He received the the Ordre des agronomes’ Agricultural Merit Award in 2017 for his contribution to the development of the Valacta training called The Barn; A Source of Comfort.
