Lactanet is looking for someone who will lead the provincial sales, support & field Services activities, by providing on-farm herd management service to dairy farmers and advisor clients throughout the territory. Your main objectives will be to promote Lactanet’s services and to participate in customer development. You will also be responsible for ensuring the performance of the Dairy Production Technicians team by providing coaching, training and monitoring objectives.
Assistant Regional Manager →Position Overview
- Ensure successful sales and marketing of products and services by assisting customers in understanding Lactanet reports, addressing customer issues, offering recommendations, and providing support.
- Manage DPT performance through coaching, training, feedback, and performance reviews, while ensuring compliance with operational standards and high-quality service delivery.
- Identify performance issues in collaboration with the Sales and Services Western and National Manager, organizes meetings to address concerns, and ensures staff receives necessary training for new services.
- Address customer concerns by maintaining detailed documentation, responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner, and taking corrective actions as needed in collaboration with other managers.
- Efficiently allocates territories and workloads to DPTs, represents Lactanet at industry events, and fosters relationships with key dairy industry partners.
- Oversees office management, ensures proper documentation, attends required meetings and training, and collaborates with Lactanet managers and agricultural organizations to recommend improvements and new practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Undergraduate education in agriculture or technology field of study.
- Experience in Agricultural Sales and understanding of value-based Sales & Service principles.
- Thorough understanding of dairy herd management practices (herd management, production and economics).
- Background and experience in personal computer software, hardware and/or experience with commercial dairy equipment software.
- Knowledge of the Canadian Dairy Industry.
Working Conditions
You’ll need to travel extensively throughout the provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Administrative tasks can be carried out at home.
