Feed typically represents 40% to 70% of production costs on most dairy farms—making feed management one of the most critical aspects of a dairy operation. As producers look to optimize their feeding strategies, improve animal performance, and drive on-farm profitability, Lactanet announces the launch of FeedComp, an advanced feed management software application.

Developed with input from dairy producers and nutrition advisors, FeedComp brings a smarter, affordable, and more efficient solution to the forefront. It makes it easier to monitor feed delivery, track ingredient usage, and ensure ration consistency — all in one user-friendly mobile platform.

“At the moment, FeedComp is currently being offered to DairyComp customers due to the synergies between the two software’s. Since herd management is more than just feeding cows and is about delivering a precise, consistent, and well-balanced ration every day, it supports Lactanet’s vision of advancing herd performance with affordable technology products and support services,” says Korb Whale, Lactanet Board Chair.

“Lactanet’s FeedComp is a software application where all you need is a Bluetooth-enabled scale and a smart phone or tablet. It aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing our customers and their advisors with technology that simplifies the complexities of feed management, while providing insights to make confident, cost-effective decisions,” mentions Lactanet’s Chief Executive Officer, Neil Petreny.
