Marie-Élaine Smith, agr.

After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in agronomy from Université Laval in 2004, Marie-Élaine gained her field experience in the equine sector at Agribrands Purina Canada before pursuing her training at Université Laval where she completed a certificate in dairy and bovine production.

Hired by Lactanet in 2009, she has been a senior organic dairy production advisor since 2017. Motivated by the challenges, Marie-Élaine contributes to numerous research projects related to the organic dairy sector while offering her unique expertise to certified organic dairy producers as well as those wishing to make the transition to organic.

Occasional guest speaker and author, member of l’Ordre des agronomes du Québec and member of the provincial organic milk strategic committee, she proudly represents the company at several events such as the INPACQ Organic Milk Conference (Journées INPACQ lait biologique).
