Lactanet is proud to unveil Canada’s Best Managed Dairy Herds for 2024, recognizing top-performing farms based on their Herd Performance Index (HPI). These exceptional herds set new benchmarks for excellence in the Canadian dairy industry, demonstrating superior management.

“On February 25, 2025, we proudly celebrated Canada’s top herds at Lactanet’s 2024 Best Managed Dairy Herds event,” states Barbara Paquet, Lactanet Board Chair. “This signature event began online in 2020 and each year we bring together the dairy community to celebrate producer accomplishments across the country and showcase the impact of the Herd Performance Index —a groundbreaking metric that evaluates herd management, from milk value to udder health.”

“This year, we were excited to expand our Best Managed event to recognize not only the top 25, but the top three herds in each province, by milking system and in organic production,” says Neil Petreny, CEO, Lactanet Canada. “Now in its fifth year, the program has garnered over 10,000 views on YouTube, and we encourage everyone to tune into the video recording to watch the amazing farm teams that make it all possible.
